After having co-founded apparel line Esprit de Corp and spending ten years at the helm growing the company in San Francisco, Brooklyn-born Allen Schwartz decided it was time to go out on his own. With a desire to design, he made a permanent move to Los Angeles where he launched his moniker brand, ABS by Allen Schwartz. The newborn company quickly gained fame in the industry for its ability to bring trends to stores in record time at an accessible price point.

With production based entirely out of LA, Schwartz had the resources and vision to turnaround product quicker than any other brand had yet to introduce. Media and fashion buyers alike hailed him as “the master of the trend.” After 35 years, Schwartz decided to rethink the future of the brand. In February 2017, Schwartz launched advanced contemporary womenswear collection, ALLEN SCHWARTZ.

ALLEN SCHWARTZ is department store-free, existing only on its e-shop, carefully curated specialty boutiques and online retailers. Consistent with its 30-year history, every piece from the ALLEN SCHWARTZ collection is conceptualized and manufactured in Downtown Los Angeles, using fabrications closely developed with mills locally and around the world. Production is set in small batches, making each item a bit exclusive while using scarcity to prevent waste. Most importantly, being made in LA allows the label to uphold an excellent work environment for its team.
